Selecting Varietals

At this point you must select the number and types of grapes you want to grow. To begin this process you must first collect some information. It is important to pick varieties that will grow well in the soil you have. In addition you will want to know how hardy the varieties are. Some grapes are highly susceptable to disease while others are very resistant. Lastly you are not growing these grapes for fun. You must either sell them or use them in making wine. If you choose to sell the grapes then you should survey the surrounding wineries and determine their needs. If you plan to use them to make wine for your own winery then understanding what will sell will be key.[UNDER CONSTRUCTION]
